Data Field - Manual Entry

OVERVIEW

A Data Field is an entry field that can be a sub-category of either an Alert or a Process.

The information on the page will be on the Manual Entry Input Method and the associated Value Types.

Ensure the Input Method is Set to "Manual Entry". Click on the down arrow in the Value Type field.

There will be 3 options available.

Select the best option for the Data Field being created.

Text - this option allows the user to enter Letters, Numbers and Symbols.

Numeric (Integer) - this option allows the user to only enter whole numbers.

Numeric (Decimal) - this option allows the user to enter numbers with a decimal place.

There are 2 validation methods available that will verify the entry made is in the correct format.

Toggle the switch On or Off to Enable or Disable the verification method.

Use Local Validation - this option allows the user to setup a RegEx code verification. This verification will be done on the operator interface.

Use Server Validation - this option allows the user to setup a verification on the server. This is a custom option and may required a VersaCall Technician to assist in the setup.

When Use Local Validation is ON, there will be 2 additional fields visible.

Regular Expression (RegEx) - this is where the user would enter RegEx code for the verification should be entered. Contact VersaCall Support for assistance if needed.

Message - this is where the user would enter the error message to show on the operator interface when the verification fails.

When Use Server Validation is ON, there will be 2 additional fields visible.

Command (Single Value Lookup) - this is where the user would select the verification command. Contact VersaCall Support for assistance if needed.

Server Validation Message - this is where the user would enter the error message to show on the operator interface when the verification fails.
