Administration - Data
From VersaVision Support
Administration is used to access important system components. There are multiple components inside Administration, this page is focused on the Data component.
VersaVision stores data in blocks. This is done to make processing run faster. A user can alter how often data blocks are made/stored.
Administration can be accessed via the Home page menu or the Administration icon. Once Administration has been selected - select Data from the menu.
All of the Data Blocks that have been created on the system will show in the list.
Start Date and End Date will show when the data block was started and ended.
Details will show how large the data block is broken down by Events, Samples & Schedules.
To change the Frequency or Time Period of Data Blocks, select the "Auto-Close Settings" button at the top right side of the page.
An Auto-Close Settings menu will pop-up on the page. There will be default settings.
There are multiple options available. Use the Events section to set a total limit of Events that get recorded before a Data Block is closed and a new one opened.
Use the Samples section to set a total limit of Samples that get recorded before a Data Block is closed and a new one opened.
Use the Time Period section to set a limit of how many Hours, Days or Months should elapse before an Data Block is closed and a new one opened.
More than 1 option can be selected. In the example below, Events and Time Period are selected. The system will close the Data Block when the first option has been met.
Once the settings have been Edited/Updated, select the Save button.
Close the Auto-Close Settings window by clicking on the "X".
To Export all of the data from a Data Block, click on the 3-Dot menu icon on any Data Block. Found on the right side of the Data Block Details section in the Data Block list.
Select the Export to Excel option from the pop-up menu.
The file will automatically download to the default web browser file download location. A file icon will show in the bottom left of the page.
