Advanced Tag Filter

Tag Filtering is done to limit or narrow the amount of data the system has to process.
The Advanced Tag Filter functionality allows the user the highest level of control over the data.
This page explains how to setup an Advanced Tag Filter. The details are general in nature, if you have questions please contact VersaCall Support.
The Advanced toggle will be switched On in the application being setup. Multiple applications have the Advanced Tag Filter functionality.
Click inside the Filter field to setup the filter.
- AND - use this separator indicate that data is considered when an event has all the tags.
- OR - use this separator to indicate that either tag can be considered in the filter.
Example of a filter using the AND separator is in the image below.
Using this setup our application will only show data for events that have both the "location station 1" and "maintenance" tags.
Any event that does not contain both of these tags will be omitted.
The user can string together multiple tags with the AND separator to further narrow down the result.
This filter will only show data for events that have the following tags - "location_station_1", "maintenance", "reason", "responder".
Any event that does not have all of the tags listed will be omitted. Any event that is at Station 1 for Maintenance that does not have a Reason or Responder tag will be omitted.
Example of a filter using the OR separator is in the image below.
Using this setup means our application will show data for any events that are tagged with "parts" and "production".
Any events NOT tagged with "parts" and "production" will be omitted/not included.
The user can string together multiple tags with the OR separator to further narrow down the result.
This filter will show any event that is tagged with 1 or more of the following tags - "parts", "production", "operator" or "machine_down".
Any events NOT tagged with "parts" and "production" will be omitted/not included. Any event that is tagged as "materials" would be omitted.
