Tag Filter Builder

OVERVIEW


The Tag Filter Builder can be accessed through multiple entities inside the applications of VersaVision.

When selecting the Edit button under a Data Filter, the user will see the Tag Filter Builder.

This page will concentrate on explaining how to use the Tag Filter Builder to create the data filter needed.


DETAILS


The Tag Filter Builder loads as a window. There will be a Modules column and a Monitoring Points column. To select 1 or more Locations, click on the Tags in the Modules list.
As a Tag/Location is selected it will highlight.



To selected 1 or more Monitoring Points, click on the Tags in the Monitoring Points list.
As a Tag/Monitoring Point is selected it will highlight.



At the top of the Columns the Column Title will show the total number of tags selected in parenthesis.



To remove all selected tags from a column click on the Clear options at the top left of the column.



Users can add new Tags to the system by selecting the Add Custom option at the top left of the column.



After selecting to Add a Custom Tag on the Modules Column, the custom tag builder window will load. Click on the down arrow in the Type field.



Select either Module Location Tag or Module Configuration Tag.



Click in the Custom Tag field and enter the a name for the Module Location or Module Configuration Tag.



Click on the Add button to add the tag to the system and to select it for the Data Filter Parameter.
NOTE: If a new Module Configuration or Module Location Tag is added, ensure the user goes back to the Module Configuration or Module Location and adds the tag appropriately.



After selecting to Add a Custom Tag on the Monitoring Points Column, the custom tag builder window will load. Leave the Type field set to Monitoring Point Tag.
Please contact VersaCall Support if there is a need to create a Monitoring Point Type Tag.



Click in the Custom Tag field and enter the a name for the Monitoring Point Tag.



Click on the Add button to add the tag to the system and to select it for the Data Filter Parameter.
NOTE: If a new Monitoring Point Tag is added, ensure the user goes back to the Module Configuration and adds the tag to the appropriate Monitoring Point(s).



When a system contains a large number of Tags, the user can reduce the number shown by using the Search field in the top right corner of the Builder. Select the Search field on the builder.



Type in 1 or more characters contained in the Tag(s) name.
The number of Tags displayed will be reduced to the tags containing the characters typed in. Selecting the tag is the same as with a full list.



Select the "X" in the top right corner of the screen to close the Tag Filter Builder. This will return the user to the specific Data Filter that was being setup.
