Administration - Email

- OVERVIEW
- Administration is used to access important system components. There are multiple components inside Administration, this page is focused on the Email component.
- VersaVision uses an SMTP Server to send emails and text messages. Below is a list of the items needed for this setup. Please contact your IT Department for assistance.

- 1. Mail Server IP Address or Name.
- 2. Port the Mail Server uses to accept communications.
- 3. Authenticated Setup requires a Username and Password.
- NAVIGATION
- Administration can be accessed via the Home page menu or the Administration icon. Once Administration has been selected - select Email from the menu.

- AUTHENTICATED EMAIL SERVER SETUP
- The Email Settings page will load.

- The Method will already be selected as SMTP, no changes can be made in this section.

- Click in the Mail Server field and enter in the Email Server Name or IP Address.

- Click in the Port field and enter in the Email Server Port number.

- Click in the From Address field and enter an address that is required for the Email Server. If there is no requirement, enter in an address that will get attention from the recipient.

- Click in the Display Name field and enter an a Name to appear on email and text messages. Use a name that identifies the VersaVision system.

- Toggle the Use Authentication switch to the ON position.

- Click in the Username field and enter the Username required for the Email Server.

- Click in the Password field and enter the Password required for the Username.

- Click in the Confirm Password field and enter the Password required for the Username.

- If there is a need to have a Tagline added to each Email and Text Message, toggle the Use Tagline switch to the ON position.

- Click in the Tagline field and enter the text to be shown on each Email & Text Message.

- Once all of the information has been entered, click on the Save button.

- A green success window will show at the bottom of the screen.

- ANONYMOUS EMAIL SERVER SETUP
- The Email Settings page will load. The Method will already have SMTP selected. No changes can be made to this field.

- Click in the Mail Server field and enter in the Email Server Name or IP Address.

- Click in the Port field and enter in the Email Server Port number.

- Click in the From Address field and enter an address that is required for the Email Server. If there is no requirement, enter in an address that will get attention from the recipient.

- Click in the Display Name field and enter an a Name to appear on email and text messages. Use a name that identifies the VersaVision system.

- Leave the toggle switch for Use Authentication in the OFF position.

- If there is a need to have a Tagline added to each Email and Text Message, toggle the Use Tagline switch to the ON position. Use the Tagline field to enter a message.

- Once all of the information has been entered, click on the Save button.

- A green success window will show at the bottom of the screen.
