IT - Email/Text (SMS)

OVERVIEW

The information provided below is intended for the IT Department. This will provide basic information they may need to setup Email Access for the VersaVision sofware.

GENERAL

VersaVision uses standard .NET protocols to send emails via SMTP Server. The connection can be setup as Anonymous or Authenticated.

The system can be setup to use an internal (intranet) email server or an external (internet) email server.

Both types have the same basic requirements. An external email server would required the VersaVision Computer/Server to have internet access.

Mail Server Address or Name

Port being used

Outgoing Ports - Click Here for information about Ports related to Email/Text (SMS).

From Address

Username - when using Authenticated SMTP

Password - when using Authenticated SMTP

Certain Mail Servers will need to have a rule setup to allow emails to be sent from the VersaVision server (IP Address or Name).
