OVERVIEW

Data Fields are Monitoring Points that can be setup on any some VersaCall Modules. A Data Field on a Machine Interface Module is used to Lookup information from a Table or Database as there is no operator interface.

NOTE - Data Fields on Machine Interface Modules are Custom Solutions. Please contact VersaCall Support for assistance.

This page will show a basic overview of the options available on a Child Data Field.

NAVIGATION

To access the Child Data Field setup, the user will need to select an existing Data Field under Monitoring Points or select to Add a new Child Data Field on an existing Alert.

DETAILS

Each Data Field can have a Name associated with it. Click in the Data Field Name field.

Type in the name that is appropriate for the Data Field being created. Click on the down arrow in the Mode field.

There can be up to 3 options available, depending on the Alert that the Data Field is being added to. Select the best option for the Count being created.

On Start - the Data Field information will be looked up when the Alert is Set/Started.
On Respond - the Data Field information will be looked up when the Alert is Acknowledged/Responded. This option is only available with a Tri-State Alert.
On Clear - the Data Field information will be looked up when the Alert is Ended/Cleared.

Lookup is the only option available in the "Input Method" field - ensure this is shown in the field. Click on the down arrow in the "Command" field

A list of all the available Lookup Commands will be shown - select the appropriate Command for the Data Field being created.
NOTE - Commands are customized to each individual system - please contact VersaCall Support for assistance.

Depending on the Command, there will be 1 or more Parameter fields. Enter the appropriate information required for the parameter.
