OVERVIEW

This page has basic information with links to more in depth information on each Monitoring Point Type.
A Machine Interface Module is a device that will be able to accept wired inputs from a Machine.
This device can also send a signal to the Machine.
Input Example - Machine would send a signal when the Machine is Down. The Machine Interface Module would monitor that input and set an Alert with Communications when active.
Output Example - Machine Interface Module would send a signal to the Machine that it cannot start until the operator connects the Safety Key.
A Machine Interface Module can be configured to accept the following items:
Monitoring Points
Alerts       Count
Child Monitoring Point
Child Data Field
Expansions
Stack Light (Wireless Controls Module)       I/O

To access the New/Edit Machine Interface Module page, the user would need to select to Add a Machine Interface Module or Edit a Machine Interface Module on the Modules - Configuration page.
