Alerts - Machine Interface Module

OVERVIEW

Alerts are Monitoring Points that can be setup on any VersaCall Module. Generally, Alerts are used to signal there is an issue or a request for help.

The Machine Interface Module has a limited Alert setup as it does not have an operator interface.

This page will show details on the 2 Alert options and links to other information related to the Alert setup.

NAVIGATION

To access the Alert setup, the user will need to select an existing Alert under Monitoring Points or select to Add a new Alert.

DUAL-STATE ALERT

Each Alert can have a Name associated with it. Click in the Alert Name field.

Type in the name that is appropriate for the Alert being created. Click on the down arrow in the Mode field.

There will be 2 options available - select Dual-State.

Dual-State - the Alert has 2 phases/states On or Off.

Tri-State - the Alert has 3 phases/states On, Respond or Off.

Click on the down arrow in the Icon field.

•

There will be 12 icons available - select the best icon for the Alert being created.

NOTE - the Icon selected will be shown on a Message Dashboard. This is a future feature that will be released at a later date.

TRI-STATE ALERT

NOTE - A Tri-State Alert on a Machine Interface Module is a Custom option that is not commonly used. Please contact VersaCall Support for assistance with this type of Alert/Setup.

EXAMPLE - would be used with an External Switch/Button where an operator needed to set or clear.
