Tracker - PSM

OVERVIEW


Trackers are Monitoring Points that can be setup to capture where something is located. This can be an item, person, tool, etc.

Example: An Operator enters his/her ID when starting the shift. Once the shift ends they would sign out of the station.

This page will provide information on each property required to setup a Tracker.

To access the Tracker setup, the user will need to select an existing Tracker under Monitoring Points or select to Add a new Tracker.

TRACKER


Once a Tracker has been Added or Selected, the Properties will show on the right side of the screen. Click in the Tracker Name field.



Once a Name has been entered, click on the down arrow in the Color field.



A list of 11 Colors will be available. Select the best Color for the Tracker being created.



Turn the visibility of the Tracker button On or Off using the Visible toggle switch.



Click in the Maximum Allowed field to enter the total number of items, people, etc. that can be entered on the Tracker at one time. The default setting is "1".



If there is a need to look up a Description for the information entered on a Tracker, toggle the "Lookup Description" On.



A Command field will load, click on the Down Arrow to select the Lookup Command.

To NOT allow the operator to Sign In on the Tracker, toggle the "Allow Sign In" switch Off.



When Allow Sign In is On, the user will have a "Sign In Text" field. By default, the message will show "Sign In". To change the message click in the field and enter the desired wording.

The message will appear to the operator when they click on the Tracker button.


Click on the down arrow in the Input Method field.



There will be 2 options available, select the best option for the Tracker being created.

Manual Entry - select this option to allow the operator to type in the information.
List - select this option to allow the operator to select the entry from a list.


When Manual Entry is selected, there will be a Value Type field. Click on the down arrow.



There will be 4 options available, select the best option for the Tracker being created.

Text - the Tracker will accept any character as the input.
Numeric (Integer) - the Tracker will only accept whole numbers as the input. The operator will be presented with a Number Pad only, no keyboard function.
Numeric (Decimal) - the Tracker will only accept a number with a decimal as the input. The operator will be presented with a Number Pad only, no keyboard function.

When List is selected, there will be a List Type field. Click on the down arrow.



There will be 3 options available, select the best option for the Tracker being created.

Custom - setup a specific list solely for use on the Tracker.
Click Here for information on creating a Custom List.
Global - select this option to have the ability to select a List already setup in the system.
Lookup - select this option to use a Command to retrieve a list from a Table or Database.

When Global is selected, there will a a List field. Click on the down arrow.



A menu of all the Lists that have been added to the system will show. Select the List that is appropriate for the Tracker being created.



By default, the Use Server Validation will be Off. Toggle the switch to turn this feature On.
This validation is used by checking information contained in a Table or Database.
Example: If an operator is only allowed to work at a specific station, the system can reject an ID or Name if the operator attempts to log an entry.



When the Server Validation is On, there will be 2 options:

Command (Single Value Lookup) - the user will click on the down arrow in the field and select the Command being used.
Depending on the Command that is selected, there can be 1 or more Parameter fields presented.

Server Validation Message - enter the error message that the operator will see when their entry does not exist in the table/database being used.


To NOT allow the operator to Sign Out on the Tracker, toggle the "Allow Sign Out" switch Off.



By default the Tracker will have a "type_tracker" tag assigned - click on the Add Tag button to create a Custom Tag.
