Visuals - Style Condition
From VersaVision Support
A Style Condition allows the user to define a set of variables that must be met to change the style of a cell. This element is used in Widgets and Dashboards.
Generally the Style Condition is used when you want to show when a variable is out of norm. Show a cell as green when there are no issues, but turn the cell red when there is an issue.
This page will explain the setup of a Style Condition using either a pre-made or static style.
Style Conditions are accessed by selecting the Style tab on the Conditions Editor.
The user will either select to add a new condition or select an existing condition. The Style Properties menu will load on the left side of the Conditions list.
There are 3 sections presented on the Style Properties:
- If Statement - this is where the user will define the criteria that needs to be met for the selected/defined style will be presented on the cell.
- Cell Appearance - this is where the user can customize/create a specific style for the cell.
- Styles - this is where the user can select a pre-made style for the cell.
In the If Statement section there are 3 fields available to the user. Click on the down arrow in the Comparator 1 field.
- Comparator 1 - this is where the user will select the Variable for comparison.
- Method - this is where the user will select the method to make the comparison.
- Comparator 2 - this is where the user will either enter a value or select a Variable for comparison.
Select the Variable from the list for the Condition being created.
This example will be for turning the cell red/use the Custom or Selected Style if there is downtime.
Click on the down arrow in the Method field.
There will be six Methods available in the list - select the appropriate Method for the Condition being created.
This example will have the Greater Than Method selected.
- = - select this option to have Comparator 1 Equal Comparator 2.
- > - select this option to have Comparator 1 be Greater Than Comparator 2.
- < - select this option to have Comparator 1 be Less Than Comparator 2.
- ≠ - select this option to have Comparator 1 Not Equal Comparator 2.
- ≥ - select this option to have Comparator 1 be Greater Than or Equal To Comparator 2.
- ≤ - select this option to have Comparator 1 be Less Than or Equal to Comparator 2.
Click on the down arrow in the Comparator 2 field to select a Variable or click in the field to enter a value.
This example will have a Value of "0". If there is any downtime (time accumulated/more than "0") the cell will turn red/use the Custom or Selected Style.
