Child Count - PSM

A Child Count is an Count that is a sub-category of a Process. When using this option, the Count button/input will only be available/enabled when the Process is active.
This page will provide information on the options available on a Child Count.
To access the Child Count setup on a Process, the user will need to select the Add Child Count button on the Process Properties.
Select the Count Name field.
Enter a Name for the Count.
The Mode field only has 1 option "Linked". Click on the down arrow in the Color field.
There will be a list of 11 Colors available - select the best Color for the Count being created.
Toggle the "Allow Operator to Increment" On or Off depending on the type of interaction needed for the Count.
- ON - when the toggle is On, the operator will be able to increase the Count by 1 using a button on the user interface.
- OFF - when the toggle is Off, the operator will NOT be able to increase the Count. The button show will be for informational purposes.
- This option is used when the Count is being obtained from a Machine Input on an I/O.
When the "Allow Operator to Increment" is ON, there will be an "Input Method" field visible. Click on the down arrow in the Input Method field
There will be 3 options available:
- Default - this option would show a Count button in the bottom right corner of the user interface. The user would press the button to increase the Count by 1.

- Distribution - this option would show a Count button in the bottom right corner of the user interface. The user would press the button to increase the Count by Item/Part and entered Quantity.

- Quantity - this option would show a Count button in the bottom right corner of the user interface. The user would press the button to increase the Count by an entered Quantity

- Default - this option would show a Count button in the bottom right corner of the user interface. The user would press the button to increase the Count by 1.
